It shouldn't have been Coen Walker. But fate, that fickle bastard, kept throwing us together.
He's sexy, guarded, and protective. And he's everywhere I turn.
We've run into each other over and over again, and each time, he's further invaded my soul.
My ex tried to ruin me, but I won't let him. And Coen won't ever let me forget how much he needs me. But when the stakes are raised, we're going to go full throttle.

Weeping Willow
A bold tree once stood strong
Thunder shook her once or twice
Lighting revealed her radiant depths
The gentle winds calmed her leaves
This lone tree survived
......................
Her weeping leaves began falling slowly
The once gentle breeze fierce with hatred
Now kills her menacingly
Beauty has fled this strong survivor
Roots have ripped from the earth
Water no longer obtainable
...............
Her pain screams upon each raindrop
Her lonely sorrow chases away rainbows
Her sagacity pasted the further madness
OSCILLATE
OSCILLATE
OSCILLATE
Were her lasts shrieks
...............
We live in an oblivious world
People shun the silent
Their narcissism a warm protective shield
The outside thinker a tragic target
................
We reside in a dark wasteland of broken
mirrors
We see every misstep within the fragments
Our jaws release vulgar agony
Torment transmutes without meaning
............
The pain of a weeping willow
Is only justified in the shadowed background
Her misunderstood pain ignored
She fell with such demented grief
Nobody heard
The undeniable cracks
The weeping willow dies
Her last thoughts scattered leaves
Can you witness them
Can you see the weeping willow
Declan, who's suffered his own fair share of tragedy, sees the girl on the park bench with the sad eyes and Converse shoes as a kindred spirit —and a chance to redeem himself. He couldn't save his mother. Maybe he can save her.
But is Bree too broken to let him in?
Declan may be her only hope for solace, if he's strong enough to break down her walls. Will she risk letting him in ... or let her pain consume her?
This book is intended for readers 18 and older. It contains violence and references of rape and child abuse
When It Dies
What should you feel
When the rain has died
When ashes flow away
The person a memory
A memory that never dies
She walks with you
Her soul weeping
A melody of pain
Her black dress dragging
As she fades into the horizon
Cornflower hair swaying
She leaves behind a broken heart
A lost soul
A forgotten daughter
A no good friend
A weary light
Always struggling
As a new sun raises
The broken heart stands alone
Her friends long gone
Now distant clouds
Blown away upon a fierce breeze
Alone
She will walk alone
People kill shattered pieces
Selfishness is always a bitter knife
Friendship a wolf in sheep's clothing
Alone is the answer
I will fade into nothing
I am already forgotten
One single bang
One single bang
One single bang
As the gun falls
Cornflower hair upon the horizon
Soft hands engulfing
Are you here
Mother
Are you here
